London Tecumsehs Tournament Was a Great Success!
Submitted By Wayne Bilger on Tuesday, July 12, 2016
The 2016 London Tecumsehs Tournament was played on the July 8-10 weekend, with 16 teams coming together at Stronach Park.

LT-Tournament-Logo.pngDespite some early rain, and thunder and lightning delays, we managed to get back on track, and ended with some beautiful weather on what turned out to be a great weekend.

LT-Tournament-Image-2016.jpgSome great ball was played in both the Minor Mosquito, and Minor Peewee divisions by all teams, with 10 teams advancing to Sunday.

Minor Mosquito saw the London Tecumsehs play the Tecumseh Rangers on Sunday morning, with London prevailing to face the Port Lambton Pirates in the final, who had to get by the Amherstburg Cardinals in the other semi-final.

A great final saw the Pirates prevail 15-9  to capture the Championship!

In the Minor Peewee division, the London Tecumsehs and Woodslee Orioles received the top 2 seeds to get bye's to the semi-finals.
The 1st quarter-finals pitted the Uxbridge Grizzlies against the Belle River Braves, with the Grizzlies squeaking by to play the London Tecumsehs in the semi-finals., with London coming on top in that to advance to the final. The other quarter-finals saw the North London Nationals get by the Richmond Hill Phoenix, and then beat the Woodslee Orioles in the semi-finals, to advance and create and All-London final, Tecumsehs, vs. the North London Nationals.

The finals was very close early , with the host London Tecumsehs pulling away late for an 11-1 win, to capture the Minor Peewee Championship!

Congratulations to ALL teams on some great ball played over the weekend, and we hope to see everyone back for our 2nd Annual in 2017, which promises to be bigger and better.
