17 Minor PeeWee - 5 Years - 5 Finals for 05's
Submitted By Minor PeeWee on Wednesday, August 30, 2017
Congratulations to the London Tecumseh Minor Peewees who were once again finalists this year in the LDBA Championships.  The team battled hard all weekend, culminating in a tightly-contested final with the London West TinCaps.

The Tecumsehs put forth a great effort but fell short 5-4 in extra innings.

This group of 05’s have now played together for five seasons … four with the London Tecumsehs and one with the London Badgers.  In all five seasons this team has managed to make it to the City Finals.  They have been finalists in all the “minor” years and champs in all the “major” years.

This is a special group of kids that enjoy the game of baseball, as well as, all of the off-field friendships that come along with it.  Not only do they play together on the baseball diamond but they also hang-out off the field at local skate parks, golf courses, hockey arenas, movie theatres, and backyard pools.  The time, commitment, and devotion they put in to this team can be seen in the results as they continue to play and compete at a high-level, all-the-while enjoying the fun side of the sport with their fellow teammates.

As the baseball season winds down, we have many exciting experiences to reflect upon, including our Cooperstown Trip, local tournaments, team parties and an exciting extra-innings city finals.  We also look forward to an eventful off-season as there are numerous team events planned over the Winter months.

Thank you to my entire coaching staff, parent-group and volunteers, and of course the kids … Big “T”, LoPed, lil “e”, Luke Duke, Nige, LeGo, Drumstick, Crusher, LanMan, Blake The Rake, Will The Thrill, and Mitts.

Next up … OBA Championships this Labour Day weekend at Stronach Park!

Coach Bob
