2018 Major PeeWee - LTBC Peewee wins PHR Championship
Submitted By Major PeeWee on Monday, June 18, 2018
A great BIG CONGRATS to our little center fielder, Eric Picken, who competed (and won) at the Toronto Blue Jays Team Championship for Pitch, Hit & Run last Saturday morning at the Rogers Centre.

Eric was crowned the champion of the 11/12 baseball group and has qualified for a chance to advance to the national finals during the upcoming MLB All-Star Week in Washington, D.C.

Please see link below to the article on the Official Toronto Blue Jays Website.

The top scorers from this competition will be ranked with the winners from the events held at other Major League ballparks.  Of the 30 winners, the top three competitors will be chosen to compete during the All-Star Weekend in D.C.  The announcement will be made July 2nd on the MLB Network.

The Major Peewee team is extremely proud of Eric’s accomplishment and also his dedication to the team as he skipped out on the Blue Jays pre-game ceremonies so that he could get back to London for his tournament game.  Eric and his team played the 8:30PM game Friday night and it was straight home to bed afterwards as he would be on the road Saturday morning at 4:30AM to get to the Rogers Centre in time for registration.  He then competed from 8:30 to 9:30AM and then was on his way back to London for games at noon and 6:30 PM.  Busy day for the young athlete but he refused to miss any of the action.

Congrats lil “e” and we can’t wait to watch the results show in early July.  Best of luck!
